The virtual human 'Yeoji', created by the Korea Tourism Organization with an investment of 800 million won, has been embroiled in a portrait right controversy because it resembles a real girl group member.

This is 'Yeoji', which was appointed as an honorary ambassador of the Korea Tourism Organization last July.

It is a virtual human created by the Tourism Organization at an estimated cost of 800 million won.

The day (19th), at the National Assembly Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee held at the Korea Tourism Organization, it was pointed out that there is an element of infringement of the portrait rights, saying that Lizzy Yeo and her Red Velvet member Irene look the same.

It is said that the face was created by reflecting the eyes, nose, and mouth preferred by the MZ generation, but there was also criticism that it promotes unrealistic appearanceism.

Shin Sang-yong, vice president of the Korea Tourism Organization, explained, 'I did not make a separate contract for a portrait right' and 'it was not made by modeling a specific person'.

This is not the first time there has been controversy over Jericho.

Many of the accounts subscribing to Jericho's SNS were revealed to be fake accounts, so the Tourism Organization deleted about 8,000 subscribers and is known to be reviewing legal action against agencies that mobilized fake subscribers.
