Yes, former Chief of Staff Noh Young-min appeared at the prosecution on the morning of the 19th as a defendant in relation to the alleged forced repatriation of North Korean fishermen to North Korea.

It was originally known to be summoned on the 16th, last Sunday, but it is known that it was changed to today as the schedule was reported in the media.

Prosecutors are confirming the process of repatriating two North Korean defectors known to have killed 16 fellow sailors in November 2019 against former Chief of Staff Roh.

Director Roh presided over a countermeasure meeting at the Blue House on November 4, two days after the capture of North Korean fishermen.

Immediately after the capture of the fishermen, the NIS delivered a report to the Blue House National Security Office that the fishermen had expressed their intention to defect, but the prosecution suspects that the government's trend has changed to forcible repatriation to North Korea, starting with the countermeasures meeting presided over by former Chief of Staff Roh.

In the end, North Korean fishermen were repatriated through Panmunjom after five days of capture.

Prosecutors believe that the decision to forcibly evict North Korean fishermen is insufficient as they express their intention to defect even if they defected to avoid punishment in North Korea by killing fellow seafarers.

After investigating Roh, the prosecution plans to summon former National Security Office Director Chung Eui-yong and former National Intelligence Service Director Suh Hoon for investigation soon.

"The two fishermen were vicious criminals who murdered 16 colleagues," said Chung Eui-yong, a former chief of staff.
