The Ministry of Justice announced that it would make an advance notice of amendments to the Stalking Punishment Act, which revealed a problem with the 'Sindang Station Murder Case'.

First, we added the attachment of location tracking electronics to the 'interim measure' to prevent the perpetrator from approaching the victim.

Currently, it is a measure in response to the criticism that the effect of preventing additional crimes is lowered because the device can be attached only after a court decision.

Minister of Justice Han Dong-hoon said, "Stalking crime is caused by abnormal obsession and the victim is identified after reporting, so the recidivism rate is high. I did.

In response to the criticism that it is an excessive disposition for a criminal whose sentence has not been finalized, he said, "It is not a reckless filling of electronic devices, but a decision through the judicial judgment of the court. We believe that some measure is necessary,” he said.

The amendment includes a plan to remove the anti-intentional punishment clause in the Stalking Punishment Act, which cannot be punished if the victim does not want it, and plans to add a clause to punish online stalking crimes against third parties or unspecified people.
