A member of the Seoul City Council has raised controversy over the remarks about the suspect in connection with the murder case at Sindang Station on the Seoul subway.

Lee Sang-hoon, a member of the Seoul Metropolitan Government from the Democratic Party of Korea, mentioned the 'Sindang Station Murder Case' in a question on the city council on the afternoon of the 16th.

Rep. Lee said, "I like it, but I don't accept it, so it seems that a male employee did various violent responses."

Rep. Lee also said of the suspect, "a young man of Seoul citizens who would have worked hard to prepare for a social life and employment in order to enter the level of the Seoul Transportation Corporation."

It is said that Assemblyman Lee's remarks come amid the argument that the city needs an active response to protect the mental health of employees working in public institutions such as the Seoul Metropolitan Government and affiliated organizations, but criticism that it is an inappropriate remark seems difficult to avoid.
