The 1st Criminal Division of the Suncheon Branch of the Gwangju District Court (Chief Judge Heo Jeong-hoon) sentenced A (19), who was charged with violating the Act on Punishment for Violence and Violence, etc., to 2 years and 6 months in prison for 2 years and 6 months in prison. He also ordered probation for three years, 200 hours of community service, and 80 hours of sexual violence treatment programs, as well as five-year restrictions on employment at organizations related to children and youth and facilities related to the disabled.
A is accused of sexually assaulting a minor B (12) twice in July and August last year in Suncheon, Jeollanam-do, after calling her to a motel to drink.
In March, she is also accused of confining Ms. C (15), who was drinking with her at her residence, in a room and threatening to distribute pictures of Ms. C's body.
In addition, Mr. A is also accused of breaking into a high school in Boseong-gun saying he is looking for an acquaintance in September last year, and assaulting three passers-by several times on the street in December of last year and January of this year.
The court pointed out that "the defendant committed adultery twice with a minor in a relatively short period of eight months and used violence against passersby several times," the court said.
He was sentenced to two years and six months in prison and five years of probation, saying, "I took into account the fact that the accused acknowledged all the crimes and that he had reached an amicable agreement with all the victims of the crime."
