The wave is growing as Incheon City Council Chairman Huh Shik posted a derogatory post on social media against police officers.

The Incheon Police Workers' Council announced on the 3rd that it would sue Chairman Huh for cyber defamation.

Chairman Huh posted on his SNS on the 27th of last month, regarding police officers who oppose the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's establishment of a police station, "If the police officers are fussy even then, punish them criminally. This is a civil war situation."

In response to Chairman Huh's remarks, the Incheon Police Workers' Council judged that Chairman Huh seriously damaged the honor of police officers who are working hard to protect the lives and property of the people on the front line.

The Incheon Police Workers' Council is scheduled to hold a protest meeting with Chairman Huh on the 4th of this month, but decided to proceed with a complaint against Chairman Huh regardless of the outcome of the interview.

Son Byung-gu, president of the Incheon Police Workers' Council, said, "The purpose of the interview with Chairman Heo is to hear the opinions of the parties before proceeding with the legal process. We have decided to proceed with this. We have already completed consulting with a lawyer.”

The Haeda post created by Chairman Huh has been deleted.
