A 20-year-old man accused of throwing a dog out of a building to death because his parents were angry because he did not pay school fees was sentenced to a fine in the first trial.



According to the court today (28th), the 6th criminal division of the Seoul Southern District Court (Chief Judge Oh Sang-yong) sentenced Mr. A to a fine of 1 million won on the 20th for violating the Animal Protection Act.



On the morning of January 13, Mr. A is accused of throwing his Pomeranian puppy out of the window on the second floor of a building in Gangseo-gu, Seoul to death.



As a result of the investigation, it was confirmed that Mr. A was in a state of being drunk at the time and committed a crime like age angry at the fact that his parents did not pay tuition for the driver's license academy.



In the courtroom, Mr. A claimed that he was a patient diagnosed with impulsive disorder and was mentally and physically weak at the time of the crime.



However, while the court acknowledged Mr. A's diagnosis history, it did not accept the claim of mental and physical weakness.



The court ruled, "Looking at the circumstances of the crime, the means, and the actions before and after the crime, it does not appear that the accused was in a state of weakness in the ability to discriminate objects or make decisions at the time."
