A man was shot dead by the GIGN on Wednesday after attacking family members in Dover, Ain.
He had taken refuge in a house since that night and allegedly attacked 5 people, members of his family.
The two adults and three children were stabbed to death.
The motives are currently unknown.

According to our information, he attacked five people, members of his family, two adults and three children, with knives.
All five were killed.
The reason for his gesture unknown
According to our information, the young man would be in his twenties, and would be psychiatrically monitored.
He had with him at least one white weapon, of the katana saber type.
The police used fire after having tried several times to control it using an electric pulse gun, without success.
We do not know for the moment his motivations, nor the motive of his gesture.
