Recently, more and more places are starting to cultivate forests or create green parks, so you can easily see wild animals even in the city center.

Rescue of injured wild animals has also increased significantly, reporter Han Joo-han reported.

This is an endangered species of pig that has been born for about three months.

It was found in a residential area in Gwangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, and is scheduled to be released into nature around this fall when the ability to live on its own is secured.

Several elk cubs have also been rescued and protected, but some are receiving intensive care with broken legs.

In Gyeonggi Province, 610 rescues were made last month alone, the highest monthly figure since the rescue management center opened in 2009.

The increase in rescue is due to an increase in the number of wild animals in the vicinity of the city center.

Even in the midst of urbanization, the natural environment is being revived through the creation of parks and planting of forests.

Birds make up more than half of the rescued wildlife, and are often reported as young birds leave their nests.

They are found sitting on the ground because of poor flight and unfamiliar environments.

I thought it would dry out if left alone (I reported it.)]

However, care must be taken in the rescue and protection of young wild animals.

This is because overprotection can become a stumbling block at the critical time in acquiring survival skills, and can even lead to separation from the mother.

[Kang Cheong-geun / Gyeonggi-do Wildlife Rescue Management Center Team Leader: It is best to just leave it at the site if the (nearby) natural condition is good.

If it is found in an urbanized area, it is exposed to a dangerous environment.

Wild animals injured by facilities such as sound barriers or artificial structures are increasing every year, and careful consideration is required to reduce accidents at the design and installation stage.
