• Ear 1 The mysterious company Nothing announces its first product

  • Phone 1 Nothing will launch its first smartphone this summer

Almost all mobiles resemble each other.

By dint of simplifying their design and eliminating buttons and connections, they have all become a rectangle with more or less rounded corners in which everything is a screen.

And this is the main claim of the first smartphone from the Nothing company, the Nothing Phone (1).

In a sea of clones,

it's a phone that stands out

.

The company had already advanced its design a few weeks ago.

The founder of nothing, Carl Pei (who also founded the OnePlus company), decided to do it because "nowadays, with the Internet, no one can keep a secret anymore," he explains, but in an event broadcast on the Internet and recorded with the camera of the own smartphone, Pei has shown the rest of the features and the final price that the Phone will have (1).

It is a mid-range terminal with some unique features and some components that are usually found in phones with a higher price range.

It has a

6.55-inch OLED screen

with HDR support and 120 Hz refresh rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ processor and a 4,500 mAh battery that charges to 50% in 30 minutes thanks to its fast charge function.

Bet on

two 50 megapixel cameras

.

A conventional angle and an ultra wide angle, which use sensors from Sony and Samsung, respectively.

The main camera is one of its strengths because the Sony sensor is often used in high-end models.

The great attraction of the phone is its semi-transparent back cover, which reveals a customizable LED lighting system.

It is a set of

900 LEDs

distributed in five different areas with lighting patterns that can be associated with different ringtones or notifications.

The smartphone uses a slightly modified version of Android 12, another of its attractions.

Nothing has included a Tesla app and support for displaying NFT (digital art) on the home screen, but outside of those customizations, the interface is about as clean as a Google Pixel phone.

The Nothing Phone (1) will go on sale on July 21 at a price that starts at

469 euros

for the 8/128 GB model and will be available in white and black.
