A man climbs the stairs to the first floor with a white cloth-covered object on one of his arms.

He goes up to the second floor, and he walks straight to the door opposite the elevator.

After about 20 seconds, I wondered if there would be a spark, and surprised people rushed out of Honbi Baeksan, and then black smoke filled the hallway.

Yesterday around 11 am, a fire presumably caused by arson broke out in a building in Beomeo-dong, Suseong-gu, Daegu.

The fire was extinguished in 22 minutes, but 7 people were killed and 49 people suffered minor injuries from smoke inhalation.

The victims were all found in Room 203 of the five offices on the second floor of the building on fire.

Five men and two women, including the arson suspect.

This office has only one entrance and seems to have suffered a lot of damage as it is the longest distance from the stairs or elevator.

Police believe the arson suspect locked the door and set the fire at the entrance.

There was a glass window on the other side of the door, but it was a built-in window that did not open.

Another office on the second floor also had small windows, so it was difficult to escape even after breaking the glass.

[Lee Hyun-woo / 2nd floor worker: I see you tearing the window.

came out over there

three people.

I was holding a hammer.

I knocked and knocked, so I tore a door open.]

Built in 1995, there were no sprinklers or fire shutters in this building.

Police believe that the man in his 50s who died at the scene set the fire with resentment over the loss of the trial and is investigating the exact circumstances.
