American actor and director Seth Green was robbed of an NFT ("non-fungible token" or "non-fungible token") worth more than 100,000 euros.

According to

Les Échos

, this larceny puts an end to the comic book producer's animated film project.

Loss of intellectual property

Indeed, this "Bored Ape", one of the best known and most expensive NFTs on the market, is represented by the image of a drawn monkey.

However, Seth Green held the intellectual property rights to this image through this NFT.

His animated film based on this monkey, who played the main role, the project falls through.

According to our colleagues, the actor had his NFT stolen via a phishing link, which allows hackers to recover the confidential information of the careless owner who clicked on said link.

At the end of April, a certain number of "Bored Apes" had already been stolen in this way, for damage estimated at several million dollars.

190,000 euros of NFT stolen

Apart from this "Bored Ape" valued at more than 100,000 euros, Seth Green had two "Mutant Apes" and a "Doodle" stolen.

That is four NFTs stolen for 190,000 euros in total losses.

Everything has already been resold by the criminal to a collector, for more than 200,000 euros.

Despite Seth Green's requests on Twitter, the new NFT buyer continues to remain silent, indicate our colleagues from

Echoes

.

The director had bought his "Bored Ape" in July 2021 to make his film "The Tavern of the White Horse", which was due to be released just days after the kidnapping of the virtual ape.

If no amicable agreement is reached with the purchaser of his NFTs, Seth Green plans to take the case to court.
