Candidate Ho-young Jung for Minister of Health and Welfare said at a press conference on the 17th that the interview test for her son and daughter's Kyungpook National University medical school transfer was difficult to give preference.

However, as a result of SBS coverage, it was confirmed that the interviewers knew the real name of the examinee in the second stage interview and oral evaluation of the transfer admissions process.

An official from Kyungpook National University said that in both 2017 and 2016, when the son and daughter of candidate Chung took the test, the first and last names of the test takers were disclosed to the interviewer in advance.

At the same time, in the second-stage evaluation, suspicions were raised that the professors who wrote the thesis with Chung gave high scores to the children of candidate Chung.

Three of the nine professors who participated in the second-stage oral evaluation of candidate Chung's daughter gave a perfect score of 20, and it was confirmed that two of them wrote 11 and 24 papers, respectively, with Professor Chung from 2005 to 2019.

In his son's oral evaluation, the only professor who wrote 14 dissertations with Chung gave the highest score of 19.

Candidate Lee Sang-min was found to have a son in his twenties working for an affiliate of the company he served as an outside director.

The largest shareholder of ENF Technology, to which Lee is an outside director, is a company called Korea Alcohol Industry, and the son of Lee was hired by KC&A, the largest shareholder of Korea Alcohol Industry.

The candidate's side said that there was no special involvement of the candidate in the process of joining him, and that he would explain during the hearing process.
