[Gollum] Immaculate Tower 313: It is difficult to prevent with existing vaccines...Is Omicron a gift or a nightmare?

Research results have shown that existing vaccines cannot prevent Omicron mutation.

According to the results of a study published in the international academic journal 'Nature' by Columbia Medical University, the efficacy of the antibody neutralizing Omicron is low even in those who have completed the second dose with existing COVID-19 vaccines such as Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, and Janssen. appeared.

There are also voices that the concept of complete inoculation needs to be revised because of the results of the study, which is contrary to the existing claim that the third inoculation can prevent omicron mutation.

Statistics continue to come out to support the results of previous studies that the propagation power of Omicron is stronger than the delta mutation, but less lethal.

In the month since the advent of Omicron, the number of new cases of COVID-19 worldwide increased by more than 34%, but the death toll decreased by 19%.

The decline in the number of deaths is clearly a positive sign.

In the current situation where modern medicine cannot predict the characteristics of omicron mutations, a careful investigation is needed to determine whether the benefits of vaccination outweigh the risks.

Today in the Immaculate Tower, we will talk about 'COVID-19' and 'Omicron mutation'.
