Following last year, the first sunrise of the year on the east coast of this year has been canceled due to the corona virus. Even so, it is difficult to find a vacancy at the end of the year at nearby accommodations, and there are even rooms with a waiting order number.

Reporter Kim Do-woon of G1 covered it.

One year ago, the sunrise was more serious than the kick of hope.

The white sandy beach was surrounded by a control line, and the parking lot was also blocked.

Police officers on the road and drones in the sky blocked the crowd.

It is the same this year if it is added, so the East Coast city and county canceled all New Year's events in 2022.

Some have decided to close the beach altogether.

It's a pity, but I gave up on the sunrise special and chose quarantine.

However, each accommodation is already fully booked.

For places where you can watch the sunrise from your room, it takes up to several dozen reservations.

[Gangneung A Hotel official: Most of the rooms are (currently) closed due to the child's vacation and telecommuting situation. The year-end rooms are already sold out.] At

this time last year, the government limited the reservation rate for lodging establishments to 50%, but this year there is no other limit.

There is no quarantine pass, and the number of people is not strictly applied.

Most of the accommodations also operate ancillary facilities such as swimming pools and buffets.

[Hotel guests: We stay indoors, so we also have meals (in the room).

You can solve everything inside, so I think you can use it if you are careful.] The

cities and counties on the east coast are planning to strictly crack down on whether or not quarantine rules are followed, but tourists can't see the sunrise properly, local commercial areas are special, and the risk of quarantine is rather high. The year-end and New Year holidays have become difficult for anyone to be satisfied with.
