Dong-gyu Yoo, the former head of the planning division of Seongnam Urban Development Corporation, who was accused of lobbying and preferential treatment for the Daejang-dong development, completely denied the allegations of breach of trust and bribery, saying, "At the time of the Daejang-dong project, the interests of Seongnam City were given priority."

At the 2nd trial preparatory date held at the hearing of the 22nd Criminal Settlement of the Seoul Central District Court on the 24th, Yoo's attorney said, "All decisions and execution of the Daejang-dong project were made in the direction of prioritizing the interests of Seongnam City." I deny it,” he said.

The lawyer also added, "I also deny the fact that I received a large sum of money," adding, "I will submit the details in writing."

Attorney Nam-wook, who was also indicted, denied the charges, saying, "The prosecution cannot defend how the accused conspired and participated in the breach of trust because the prosecution did not specify the date and time or specific actions taken."

He also claimed, "The amount paid (to former general manager Yoo) was an investment, not a bribe."

A lawyer for former reporter Kim Man-bae also said, "We do not admit all of the charges," and "I will tell you the specifics based on additional evidence submitted."

All three people have denied the allegations, except for accountant Jeong Young-hak, who said he would admit to all the charges on the previous trial preparation date.
