The police have booked four people involved in the explosion and fire of the Yeosu National Industrial Complex.



The Jeonnam Police Agency's Violent Crime Investigation Unit announced that it had booked two people in charge of the Ilil Industrial site and two officials from a subcontractor on charges of manslaughter due to work negligence.



They are accused of neglecting safety management and supervision in relation to the fatal accident of three workers at Iil Industrial Complex in Yeosu Industrial Complex, Jusam-dong, Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do on the 13th.



Although it was not included in the work order, the police are investigating the possibility of an explosion due to welding or a spark during hammering.



On the morning of the 16th, the police also conducted a search and seizure of Iil Industrial and subcontractors.



The Yeosu Branch Office of the Ministry of Employment and Labor is also planning to form a team soon to conduct special supervision to check for violations of the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
