Authorities said that as the number of gatherings increases due to the year-end and New Year holidays and winter vacations, close contact indoors increases, and further spread is expected.
Director Jung also warned that "if the epidemic worsens, there could be about 10,000 confirmed cases in this month and up to 20,000 in January next year."
