The first instance court sentenced a man to 40 years in prison for murdering a former co-worker for not lending money and leaving his body on trial.
Prosecutors previously asked for the death penalty for Seo.
Seo is accused of breaking into the officetel office of the victim he went to with a securities company in July, stealing money, and killing the victim with an electric shock, hammer, and knife that he had prepared in advance.
After the crime, he accessed the victim's stock account and sold hundreds of millions of won worth of stocks, and it was investigated that the body was dumped in Gyeongsan, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
I tried to erase the traces of the crime, such as painting the wall of the officetel office, but the victim's wife reported it, and he was caught two days after the crime.
It was revealed that Seo, who was in the doll sales business, was rejected when he tried to borrow money, recalling the fact that his colleague, a victim, had made a profit from investing in stocks when he was in debt of 400 million won due to financial difficulties.
Seo revealed that while he was working, he received help from the victim when he ran out of credit card prices.
The court said, "The victim was killed by the accused who had done him a favor in the past a week after leaving the securities firm and dreaming of a life as an individual investor. I explained the reasons for the sentencing.
