A 20-year-old incumbent police officer who crashed into three other cars while driving in a drunken state in an apartment basement parking lot was handed over to the prosecution.



The Jungnang Police Station in Seoul sent a 29-year-old Police Officer A, a 29-year-old police officer from the Nowon Police Station subdivision, to the prosecution without detention on the 1st on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act (Drunk Driving) and the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes (Dangerous Driving Injuries). said. 



Police officer A is charged with driving while intoxicated in the underground parking lot of an apartment building in Sanggye-dong, Nowon-gu, Seoul around 11:20 pm on the 11th of last month and crashing into three cars. 



It is said that a woman in her 50s, who was in one of the vehicles affected in the accident, suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.




According to the police, police officer A's blood alcohol level at the time of the accident was over 0.08%, which was at the level of license revocation.



After the accident, the Nowon Police Station banned Police A for three months. 



The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency has completed the inspection and investigation of Police Officer A separately from the police investigation, and is planning to hold a disciplinary committee soon.
