I just told you that if bed assignment is delayed, seriously ill patients can be at risk. Most of those confirmed in nursing homes or nursing homes are over 60 years old, so they cannot be treated at home or in a living treatment center.

Next is reporter Kim Deok-hyun.

is a nursing hospital in Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do.

After the first confirmed case on the 10th, the entire ward was quarantined two days later, but the number of infected people increased to 67.

The confirmed patients are elderly people over the age of 60, so after infection, they need to monitor their symptoms more closely and transfer them to another hospital as soon as possible.

However, the number of medical personnel in the hospital responsible for this has been reduced by half due to confirmation or isolation.

[Family of inpatients at Bucheon Nursing Hospital: There is now Abi Gyu-hwan. My grandmother is now over 90 years old and her respiratory system is unstable. Are you going to let him die there? .]

Some patients are already deteriorating, so the hospital is rushing to transfer them, but they are often rejected.

[Bucheon Nursing Hospital official: For those in a hurry, it takes about 10 minutes, but I have been talking about it since 3 days ago. It is in bad condition and needs to be transported quickly. 'There aren't too many beds' and the transfer is not working... .]

The only hope left is a nursing hospital dedicated to infectious diseases, which is the only two hospitals in the metropolitan area.

However, the beds here are also nearly 85% full.

The remaining beds cannot be used right away due to various disinfection procedures after the patient is discharged.

Currently, there are over 50 nursing hospitals and facilities nationwide that are quarantined in the entire ward due to the group infection.

The government plans to make the most of the beds in the non-metropolitan area and quickly prepare beds at four additional designated nursing hospitals for infectious diseases in the metropolitan area.
