The first division of the Supreme Court (Chief Justice Oh Kyung-mi) was sentenced to 34 years in prison by the appeals court today (11th) on charges of violating the Act on the Protection of Children and Juveniles and the Act on Special Cases concerning the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes, Coercion, and Special Injury. The appeal of the room operator Moon Hyeong-wook (aka 'God God') has been dismissed.



Orders such as disclosure and notification of personal information for 10 years, restrictions on employment at child and youth-related organizations and welfare facilities for the disabled, and attachment of electronic location tracking devices (electronic anklets) for 30 years will remain in place.



From January 2017 to the beginning of last year, Moon Hyeong-wook was accused of having 21 child and adolescent victims filmed sexually exploited material on his own 1,275 times from January 2017 to the beginning of last year.



In particular, it was found that he opened a Telegram chat room and distributed 3,762 sexual exploitation videos using the nickname 'God God' for about a year until January of last year.



They threatened the victims' parents as if they were distributing sexual exploits, or made the victims engraved certain words on their bodies with a knife.



It was also revealed that he made sexual exploitation with six accomplices and made them sexually assaulted or similarly sexually assaulted by children and adolescents.



Today, the first division of the Supreme Court (Chief Judge Roh Tae-ak) also dismissed the appeal of Kang Hoon (aka 'Buta'), the second-in-command in the doctor's room, and sentenced him to 15 years in prison.



Kang Hoon is accused of colluding with the main culprit Jo Joo-bin (25) from September to November 2019, blackmailing 18 victims, including 7 children and adolescents, to film and produce sexual exploitation videos, and to sell and distribute them in the Telegram doctor's room for profit. (violation of the Sub-Chung Act, organizing and activities of criminal groups, etc.).



Kang Hoon is a key accomplice who has helped Jo Joo-bin manage and operate the doctor’s room from the beginning.



Prosecutors viewed the doctor's room as a criminal group to the extent that it went beyond a simple pornography sharing group by dividing roles for the purpose of crime and creating internal rules.



The Supreme Court, which confirmed Jo Joo-bin's 42-year prison sentence on the 14th of last month and recognized that the doctor's room is a criminal organization, today also found Kang Hoon guilty of organizing and organizing a criminal group.



Kang Hoon, along with Jo Joo-bin, was additionally indicted in April on charges of threatening female victims and sending nude photos.
