I ordered cooking oil from an online shopping mall, but there is a controversy surrounding the claim that the product was delivered 16 years past the expiration date.

Recently, on an online community, an article was posted 'I ordered two cooking oils from Coupang, and one of them had an expiration date in 2005'.

The edible oil in the published photo has an expiration date of until June 9, 2005 and an advertisement saying that it is the No. 1 brand in power for 4 consecutive years from 2000 to 2003.

Some netizens who saw the photo commented, 'Do you not do inspections?

It is dizzying' and criticized Coupang's side.

On the other hand, there are various speculations such as 'Coupang was founded in 2010, but it makes no sense to ship edible oil with an expiration date of 2005', 'Other consumers returned cooking oil past the expiration date, but they didn't inspect it properly.' .

In this regard, Coupang said through a media outlet that the logistics center where the products were shipped was opened in 2018, and it has been confirmed that there is no possibility of receiving products whose expiration date has expired in 2005.

He also shared that an internal investigation was ongoing.
