Fraudsters who deliberately collided with a vehicle that violated laws such as illegal U-turns or cut-in or a vehicle reversing and obtained insurance money were arrested one after another.



The Busan Metropolitan Police Agency announced today (12th) that they had arrested a man in his 20s on charges of violating the Special Act on Insurance Fraud Prevention.



From February last year to July of this year, Mr. A was accused of intentionally hitting a vehicle that violated the center line or traffic signals 37 times from February last year to July this year, and was charged 190 million won in the name of insurance and settlement money. are receiving



According to the black box video released by the police at the time of the accident, Mr. A hit a U-turning vehicle in violation of the straight-line signal at night, or used the technique of impacting the vehicle without avoiding it by changing lanes.



The police said, "I committed a crime using an old BMW used car and paid 'unrepaired repair' from the insurance company on condition that the vehicle was not repaired.



Police explained that Mr. A used the proceeds of the crime to pay off internet gambling or personal debts.



The police added, "It is not easy to determine whether some accidents involving vehicles that violate traffic laws are intentional.



The police also booked a man in his 40s without detention on charges of insurance fraud.




From April to August of this year, Mr. B is accused of deliberately jumping behind a vehicle reversing in a narrow alley 23 times and receiving 13 million won from the driver and insurance company.



Looking at the black box video, Mr. B pretended to answer the phone and walked or ran, and when he saw a vehicle reversing, he approached the back and hit it.



Even after being caught by the police and being investigated, B was found to have committed 11 additional crimes with the same method.



Busan Police has expanded the traffic crime investigation team to two teams since last year, and until September this year, 142 people were arrested in 34 cases and 8 people were arrested.
