In Chungju, North Chungcheong Province, a man in his 30s died 13 days after Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine was administered, and the bereaved family requested an investigation into the cause of death.
According to the bereaved family, on the 8th at around 8:30 am in Yongsan-dong, Chungju-si, at the house of Mr. A (36), Mr. A, who was unconscious, was found lying on the floor of the room, his wife, who had visited his parents' house.
A 119 ambulance was dispatched after receiving the report, but Mr. A was already dead.
Person A received the first dose of the Moderna vaccine on the 25th of last month, and the bereaved family said that there was no underlying disease.
A's mother (60) said in a media call, "My son said, 'I feel tight and dizzy' for a while right after the vaccination, but there were no other symptoms. I can't help but think," he said.
The police conducted an autopsy to cover the cause of death today (12th), and the health authorities of Chungju City also reported the case of Mr. A to the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
