AstraZeneca's COVID-19 vaccination for seniors aged 65 and over, which has been withheld due to controversy over its effectiveness, will begin this month.

The Corona 19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team recommends the AstraZeneca vaccine vaccination for seniors 65 years of age or older by the Vaccination Specialist Committee. He said he plans to get the vaccine later this month.

In the case of anaphylaxis reactions immediately after the first vaccination at yesterday's (10th) meeting, the vaccination committee should not administer the second vaccination. Accordingly, the standard for the second vaccination appointment date has been changed from the current 8 weeks to 10 weeks.

The 2nd quarter vaccination target group was also added.

In order to block the influx of mutant viruses, the Vaccination Committee decided to include approximately 20,000 air crew members who are subject to self-isolation exceptions, although frequent overseas entry, as part of the 2nd quarter vaccination target group.
