Incumbent court officials have been investigated by the police after drinking alcohol.
Seoul's Songpa Police Department announced today (18) that it was arresting and investigating Mr. A, a public official in his 30s under the Seoul Eastern District Law, for attempted rape.
Mr. A is
accused
of
attempting to sexually assault a drunk and unconscious woman in the bathroom of
a
shopping street in
Munjeong-dong, Songpa-gu the night before
.
When the victim rebelled, Mr. A ran away, but was soon arrested by the dispatched police.
The police are investigating the details of the incident and the motive of the crime against Mr. A.
Earlier, it was also known that Mr. B, in his 50s, a technical official belonging to the Supreme Court, was intoxicated at a karaoke room in Seocho-gu.
According to the Seocho Police Station in Seoul, Mr. B is
accused of hitting him
with a
fist while fighting with a karaoke owner saying "I will not accept guests" around 8 pm on the
10th
.
Even after being taken to a nearby police box, Mr. B is said to have screamed and rioted for about 30 minutes. After grasping the exact facts, the police said they plan to add to Mr. B a charge of canceling the main office under the Minor Crime Penalty Act.
