According to Cheongyang-gun today (3rd), there were 17 confirmed cases so far.
Following a woman of Nepalese nationality in her 20s who was confirmed yesterday, 16 employees at the kimchi factory were confirmed as additional today.
They are employees in their 30s to 60s who live in nearby areas such as Boryeong and Hongseong, as well as Cheongyang.
These were classified as close contacts of the confirmed woman, and were confirmed by inspection during quarantine at the facility.
The military quarantined 26 close contacts identified in an epidemiological investigation into the facility when a Nepalese woman working in a factory was confirmed.
The route of infection for this Nepali woman has not yet been identified.
The quarantine authorities are conducting an epidemiological investigation into the recent movements and contacts of additional confirmed cases.
