Two restaurants were caught in the illegal business crackdown of'Night Party' in Jeju to prevent the spread of Corona 19 infection.

On the night of the 14th, more than 50 young customers gathered in a small space and danced at a general restaurant A in the province.

The DJ's excitement, loud music, and colorful lights lit up like a nightclub, an entertainment bar business.

As a result of an investigation by the provincial self-governing police, it was found that this place was reported and operated as a general restaurant, but in reality it was operating an unauthorized entertainment bar.

An official from the Provincial Police Department's crackdown team said, "Due to the dancing of young guests, the distance between people was less than 1 meter apart, and even customers wearing masks were hardly noticeable."

In the metropolitan area, efforts are being made on quarantine, such as distancing the society due to the nationwide re-proliferation of Corona 19, but the self-governing police estimates that the found business has been open to the quarantine atmosphere.

From the 14th to the 24th, the provincial self-governing police cracked down on illegal night parties that neglect social distancing jointly with both administrative cities such as Jeju City and Seogwipo City.

The targets of the crackdown are businesses that report as guest houses and general restaurants and operate as entertainment bars to avoid quarantine sanctions.

Places reported as entertainment bars are subject to quarantine measures such as making a list and checking fever when entering to prevent the spread of Corona 19, but general restaurant establishments are excluded from such measures.

In this crackdown, the provincial self-governing police uncovered one restaurant that had illegal entertainment and bar business in a general restaurant and another general restaurant that allowed customers to hold parties, such as dancing, in violation of compliance with the business owner.

In addition, five businesses that have engaged in business activities other than the business site were detected and ordered to correct them.

After reporting as a general restaurant, if you are caught running an entertainment bar such as an illegal party, you will be fined 100 million won or less.

Goh Chang-gyeong, head of the provincial self-governing police, said, "We will continue to crack down on high-risk facilities such as guesthouses and general restaurants in the province that hold illegal night parties without taking any measures despite the spread of Corona 19."
