Here in Incheon Port, the rain accompanied by a gust of wind fell all night and then stopped.

The typhoon warning that was issued in the Incheon area at 11 p.m. last night (26th) has been upgraded to a typhoon warning starting at 2 a.m. today.

The rain and wind are getting stronger so that you can feel a typhoon coming nearby, and you can see hundreds of fishing boats in the port that are tightly tied together to avoid the typhoon.

Six routes to the coast, including Baengnyeongdo Island, have been suspended, and passenger ships are also being damaged by the inner port.

The Meteorological Administration predicted that the 8th Typhoon Barbie, who is traveling north along the west coast, was the closest to Incheon at around 4 am this morning.

Although the typhoon course has moved slightly to the west than expected, Incheon is still included in the dangerous class.

It was predicted that a strong wind with a central wind speed of 40m per second would blow and a lot of rain would fall when entering the area of influence, but in fact, there is a lot of rain and wind blowing at the site right now.

This is a situation that requires special attention.

wind is blowing a lot. Incheon suffered some damage during typhoon Ringling last year, but how is the preparedness situation this time?

<Reporter>

The city of Incheon has issued an emergency level 3, the highest level of response, and has entered a preparedness position.

In particular, in Incheon in September last year, during typhoon Lingling, a wall collapsed, killing one person and damaging more than 30 buildings, resulting in property damage of over 10 billion won.

After a year, as the strong typhoon approached again, it was a tense appearance. Incheon city inspected the large construction site and tower cranes inside the building in preparation for strong winds, and advised residents to refrain from going out overnight.

The City Office of Education recommended distance classes to schools in Ganghwa and Ongjin-gun, and recommended that other regions adjust their school hours after 10 am today.

In addition, if the wind blows more than 25m/sec, the traffic of Yeongjong Bridge and Incheon Bridge heading to Incheon International Airport will be completely stopped.

There was also an emergency on the coastal island village.

Be careful not to damage overnight.
