Typhoon'Babi' is currently slowly heading northwest at a speed of 12 km/h from 210 km northwest of Okinawa, Japan.

Typhoons are getting stronger and stronger as they absorb hot water vapor.

At the center of the typhoon, a strong wind of 115 km/h is still blowing, and on Thursday, when the typhoon level is very strong, the central wind speed is expected to increase to 162 km/h.

The typhoon is expected to land in Hwanghae, North Korea in the morning after passing through the western sea of ​​Jeju Island at around 3pm on Wednesday, and Taean Sea in Chungnam at around 4am on Thursday.

From the night of tomorrow (25th), Jeju Island will begin to be affected by typhoons, and the southern coast will also be indirectly affected.

In particular, strong winds of up to 216 km are expected to blow on the coast of Jeju Island and Honam due to the typhoon, and the waves will rise very high in the sea.

From Wednesday to Thursday, the whole country is expected to be directly affected by the typhoon.

From Wednesday, due to the typhoon, rain is expected to be 100-300 mm in Jeju Island and Mt. Jirisan, up to 500 mm in the mountains of Jeju Island, 50-150 mm in Jeolla Province, and 30-100 mm in other countries.

The Meteorological Administration said that although the center of the typhoon mainly passes through the West Sea, Korea would be placed on the right side, which is the half-circle of the typhoon, and asked to pay particular attention to wind damage.
