Gyeonggi Province yesterday (18th) issued an administrative order requiring residents and visitors to wear masks from all over the province.

[Jae-myeong Lee/Governor of Gyeonggi Province: An administrative order is issued that requires all Gyeonggi-do citizens to wear masks. All residents and visitors in Gyeonggi-do must wear masks until separate measures are taken.]

Accordingly, residents and visitors of Gyeonggi-do must wear masks indoors.

You can only remove the mask if it is unavoidable, such as when eating.

Mask wear has been strengthened even outdoors.

Wherever you meet for a specific purpose, such as a performance or a rally, you must wear a mask.

Mandatory wearing a mask is the second time after Daegu in May.

Gyeonggi Province, which issued the administrative order, plans to crack down on whether or not to wear a mask at the local government level, and if caught, a fine of up to 3 million won or a fine of up to 100,000 won will be imposed.

Gyeonggi Province said that if damage occurs due to not wearing a mask, it can also charge for quarantine, but it has decided to leave the guidance period until October 12th.

Gyeonggi-do also issued an administrative order that requires that members of the Sarangjeil Church in Seoul or citizens who attend the Gwanghwamun assembly must undergo diagnostic tests.

Violation of this may result in imprisonment of up to two years or a fine of up to 20 million won.
