A man who passed through an underground roadway that had been restricted due to record heavy rain in the Daejeon area was drowned and rescued, but eventually died.
Today (30th), around 5 pm, a report was received that a male A in his 70s was drowning in a prescribed underground passage in Panam-dong, Dong-gu, Daejeon.
Although the 119 fire brigade arrived, Mr. A was unconscious and was immediately taken to the hospital after undergoing CPR but was killed.
Police officials are planning to investigate how Mr. A was able to go through the controlled underpass based on eyewitness statements.
