The ministry said that the relevant recommendations, which were developed by a group of experts, take into account the peculiarities of rehabilitation in the provision of specialized medical care to patients with COVID-19, their routing to the stages of rehabilitation, the peculiarities of the rehabilitation of children, as well as steps to improve the health and recovery of the working capacity of employees of medical organizations who are helping patients with coronavirus.

Also, special attention is paid to the rehabilitation of patients with cardiovascular diseases.

It is noted that "a feature of patients with COVID-19 is the need for isolation for 14 days after discharge from the stage of specialized or rehabilitation inpatient care."

The report notes that "this is the optimal time to carry out medical rehabilitation activities remotely at home using telemedicine technologies."

The Ministry of Health added that for further rehabilitation assistance at the end of the post-infectious isolation period, patients can be sent to medical organizations, including sanatoriums, based on regional routing roadmaps.
