The National Human Rights Commission of Korea decided to investigate directly the status of sexual harassment and sexual harassment around former Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon and acquiescence.

The Human Rights Committee held a standing committee today (30th) and deliberately decided on the agenda for the authority investigation, and voted unanimously to conduct the authority investigation.

The NHRCK said, “As a third party, while communicating with the victims regarding the complaints filed with the NHRCK, the victim requested an investigation of the authority,” he said.

The ex officio investigation is an investigation initiated by ex officio if the Human Rights Commission determines that human rights violations or discrimination are serious even if there is no complaint from the victim.

The NHRCK plans to form a separate'Directional Investigation Team' to investigate sexual harassment and sexual harassment by Mayor Park, as well as the acquiescence and assistance of the city.

Furthermore, the NHRCK said, “I will comprehensively investigate the overall system on issues such as sexual harassment to review improvement measures and review procedures for handling sexual harassment cases by elected officials.”

Attorneys Kim Jae-ryun and women's organizations, the legal representatives of the victims, declined the Seoul-led fact-finding investigation and asked the independent human rights commission to investigate the matter in person. In addition, the victims handed over 30 pieces of evidence to the Human Rights Commission.
