Yesterday (the 21st), there were 17 new corona19 confirmed patients in Korea, and the cumulative confirmed number was 12,438.

According to the inflow route, it was tentatively counted as 6 overseas inflows and 11 local occurrences.

In the case of regional outbreaks, there were 4 in Seoul, 3 in Gyeonggi, and 2 in Chungnam, and there were 1 confirmed each in Daegu and Jeonbuk.

Corona19-related deaths did not increase, so cumulative deaths remained at 280.

It is the first time this month that the number of new confirmed patients has been reduced to 10, but health officials say it may be due to a decrease in the number of tests over the weekend.

In particular, concerns are growing as collective infections through Daejeon door-to-door sales companies spread throughout the country.

In Daejeon, the number of confirmed cases increased to 34, and related cases were reported in Chungnam and Sejong, and Jeonbuk and Gwangju.

The city of Daejeon has decided to close public use facilities such as libraries, sports facilities, and performance halls, and conduct free diagnostic tests on citizens who overlap the line with definite people.

The health authorities also said they are discussing with the local governments such as Daejeon, Chungnam, and Sejong to operate a joint treatment center.
