The divorce between Huawei and Google is pronounced. The Chinese brand has confirmed to 20 Minutes that it will not return to Google Web Services, but will work to develop its own alternative, the Huawei Mobile Services. In parallel, Huawei has just announced that it is working on its own search engine.
Indispensable, Google Search may soon have a new rival in China. Huawei in any case does not hide its ambition to design such a powerful search engine, which will allow you to surf the web, search for photos and videos and access services using a radically different algorithm. Special feature of the service: it will only be available via the Chinese group's software. In theory, it will be impossible to access the Huawei search engine via an internet browser on a PC or smartphone of another brand.
The search engine will be managed from Ireland
The Chinese giant has in fact already completed a large part of the work since the APK of the software is already functional. After a test period, it should logically be integrated into all of the brand's products.
Interestingly, Huawei has chosen to outsource the management of its software to Ireland. It is a subsidiary of the group, Aspiegel Limited, which will manage the data processing.
