With the spread of Corona 19 in Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do, many mothers who are pregnant or have just given birth have moved away for a while. However, there are many hospitals that refuse medical treatment just because they are from Daegu and Gyeongbuk even though they have no symptoms.

Reporter Kim Jung-woo reports.

Lee Mo, the 15th week of pregnancy, left Daegu on September 20 and is staying at a Seoul home.

It was time for regular check-ups, so I contacted the local obstetricians and received a reply saying, "I can't get medical care."

After leaving Daegu for two weeks, they stayed in their own homes for so-called 'voluntary self-isolation' and explained that there were no symptoms.

[Lee / Pregnant mother: I'm from Daegu and Gyeongbuk, so we don't accept Daegu and Gyeongbuk.

[A Obstetrics and Gynecology Representative: Even after two weeks, the contact period must be included. (We) can't check.]

Shin Mo, who came to Seoul with her 60-year-old child, had a wild experience.

I visited a pediatrician for child vaccinations, but the shot was denied.

The reason was that he came from Daegu.

[Shin-mo / mother: He told me it's OK to delay the vaccination. (I'm worried.) I think it's a situation I shouldn't be sick.]

I tried to complain at the public health center, but I was told that it was difficult to help.

The Ministry of Health and Welfare sent a cooperation letter to medical groups at the end of last month to request that there be no denial of treatment in certain areas such as Daegu.

However, as social concerns about the spread of corona 19 grow, this request becomes useless in reality.
