The city said on May 22 that it will invest 175 billion won to replace all the old water pipes in the houses by 2022.

Since 2007, the City has supported up to 80% of the cost of water pipe replacement in homes.

The company has completed the replacement of 390,000 households, which is 69% of the 565,000 households that will be replaced, and plans to replace the remaining 175,000 households within three years.

This year, the goal is to replace 50,000 furniture. As of July, we replaced 21,526 household water pipes.

We will replace 56,000 households in 2020, 40,000 households in 2021, and 29,700 households in 2022.

The target is a house built before April 1994 and using galvanized steel pipes that are vulnerable to rust. The amount of support is up to 80% of the total construction cost.

There is a limit of 1.5 million won for single-family homes, 2.5 million won for multi-family houses, and 1.2 million won per apartment for apartments.

Last year, the city said that 5,785 households that had replaced the water pipes had a significant improvement in water quality, including a 61% drop in turbidity.

The rate of drinking water rose from 25.6% before replacement to 43.8% after replacement.

You can apply for the replacement construction cost at the 120 Dasan Call Center or your local waterworks office.
