The source said that specialists are starting preparatory work at the Vostochny cosmodrome.

"The launch of the Soyuz 2.1a rocket with the Fregat upper stage is scheduled for 5:07 Moscow time on December 25," he said.

According to the source, it is planned to put into orbit two Earth-sensing satellites Kanopus-V No. 5 and Kanopus-V No. 6.

It is also planned to put into orbit about 30 small spacecraft.

Earlier, Roskosmos announced plans to launch two Canopus satellites from the Vostochny cosmodrome on December 26.
