The ruling party, the government, and the presidential office have decided to implement high school free education.

From the second semester of this year to the third year of high school, next year will be expanded to all grades in the second, third, and next year.

Supported items are entrance fee, tuition fee, school administration support fee, textbook fee.

In 2004, we expanded our school to high school in 15 years of free education.

[Hong Young-pyo / President of the Democratic Party]: Of the 35 OECD member countries, we are the only countries that do not provide free high school education.

Except for specially designed high schools and private schools, the number of students is about 1.37 million.

The government predicted that households with one high school child would save 1.58 million won per year.

The problem is financial resources. The government decided to pay about 2 trillion won each year, half of which is borne by the government, but the school districts that have to make a budget have a heavy burden.

This is because the annual amount of money is over 900 billion won, and the budget for the second semester must be acquired by now.

[The officials of the National Association of Teachers' Supervisors: The parties, the Chungcheong and the Chung agreed and negotiated, there is no agreement with our superintendent ... Because of this, we have our sadness here or something like this.]

In order to raise the financial resources of the DOE, it is necessary for the revision of related laws to increase the local education financial grants to pass the National Assembly.
