Astrophysicists participating in the international Event Horizon Telescope (EVT) project received the first ever black hole image. It is located in the galaxy Messier 87 at a distance of about 55 million light years from Earth. The pictures were taken with the help of the Telescope event horizon - a union of eight powerful telescopes from different countries. Image distortions were avoided, also thanks to the observations and calculations of Russian scientists. RT publishes a visualization of the flight to a black hole with its photo at the end of the video.
