Spring is approaching and with it, the desire to be outside and maybe to do his daily sport. That's good, exerting yourself outdoors brings a lot of benefits, often unknown, both for your body and your mind, as explained by Anouk Garnier, sports columnist in "Bienfait pour vous".

The beautiful days and spring are fast approaching and with the possibility of doing your sports sessions outside. If you weren't already doing it, columnist Anouk Garnier tried in Bienfait pour vous to convince you to try the experiment. We do not necessarily suspect it, but this practice of physical effort is full of health benefits, both physical and mental.

The first benefit is obviously that of vitamin D, the vitamin of the Sun, because it "is much better synthesized, when you are outdoors, from 20 minutes of exposure. It's not too long and it allows you to have strong bones in particular.", informs the sports columnist before adding, "You have more luminosity, so more morale, more energy and it also plays on sleep, because it stimulates your immune system. So frankly, go outside!"

Create your own outdoor gym

Another considerable advantage is the diversity of places where you can sculpt yourself. It is then possible to oscillate between nature and city, since each environment has its advantages. For example, "in the forest, we are in a moment of disconnection, the smells are different and it is more motivating. But we can also do it in urban areas where you will be able to create your own outdoor gym."

As Anouk Garnier assures, the outdoor equipment and furniture that can be used for sport is inexhaustible, it is enough to know which ones: "I use for example in urban areas benches, stairs, there are many things in parks. The city provides sports facilities such as athletics tracks. And in nature, you can use the logs with which I do squats for example."

More varied exercises than in the gym

Finally, just as it allows many possibilities of places to practice it, outdoor sport also allows a very wide choice of exercises. "Most people forget that walking has very good training benefits. If you are more experienced, it is good to do Nordic walking with the poles or running. Me, what I like as a session is to do a cardio part, for example walking in nature, and cut it with strengthening exercises. For example, I'm going to go on a one-hour hike and every five minutes I'm going to do a strengthening exercise."

With all the advice of columnist Anouk Garnier, no need to register in a gym and find yourself without machines at rush hour, you just have to put on your sneakers and go out!
