When the women's league was played out, it was announced that Eskilstuna would be forcibly relegated to the top flight due to its financial problems - a decision that the club chose to appeal.

On Monday, the Board of Appeal made the final decision.

The club is being moved down.

- Eskilstuna does not meet the A-criterion in terms of equity and there are also no special reasons for still granting an elite license for 2023. This means that the Licensing Board's decision must stand and that Eskilstuna is not granted an elite license for 2023, writes the Appeals Board in the decision

The club referred to the corona pandemic.

Something that the Board of Appeal does not consider valid, as a real reason.

- The conclusion is that the pandemic is not a reason to grant Eskilstuna an elite license for 2023.

IK Uppsala, who lost the qualification for the Women's All-Svenskan against Brommapojkarna, now gets Eskilstuna United's place in the Women's All-Svenskan.
