Ivan Knyazev, 28, and Daria Meshcheryakova, 26, are suspended for two years and Vladimir Obukhov, 29, for six months.

Obukhov's lower sentence is due to the fact that he cooperated during the investigation and pleaded guilty, writes Reuters.

He is free to play in December.

The anti-doping organization Wada discovered the banned steroid methandienone in male males, while Meshcheryakova, who has U17 credentials for Russia, had furosemide in her body, which is a substance that can hide doping.

The cases originally come from tests performed in 2013, which then gave a negative result, but which have been tested again.
