French footballer Paul Pogba has received a four-year ban for doping. Pogba tested positive for testosterone after a Serie A game against Udinese.
The sex hormone helps build muscle mass and can therefore have a performance-enhancing effect. At the end of the suspension, Pogba will be almost 35 years old. The 30-year-old midfielder still has the opportunity to appeal against the ruling. He was one of the most important players in France's World Cup winning team in 2018.
