During the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, all events called "live sites" including public viewing scheduled in the three Tohoku prefectures and Kumamoto prefectures in the disaster area will be cancelled.

This was announced on the 29th by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, which hosts the event together with the Games Organizing Committee.

According to this, during the tournament period, four days at the Olympic Games and two days at the Paralympics, in addition to public viewing where you can enjoy live competitions, events called "live sites" where you can experience competitions and sell food will be held in the Great East Japan Earthquake. It was planned in the three prefectures of Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima that were affected by the disaster, and in Kumamoto prefecture, which was the area affected by the Kumamoto earthquake.

However, as a result of discussions with reference to the intentions of the local government, all "live sites" were canceled in order to curb the flow of people and prevent the spread of infection.

Iwate Prefecture canceled the "Morioka Castle Ruins Park Multipurpose Plaza" at the Olympic Games and the "JR Morioka Station Waterfall Plaza" at the Paralympics.

"Kotodai Park" in Miyagi Prefecture.

Fukushima Prefecture has "Tsurugajo Park" at the Olympic Games and "Aquamarine Park" at the Paralympics.

And there are 6 venues in total, including "Kumamoto Castle Hall" in Kumamoto Prefecture.

In the future, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and others will use digital technology to consider disseminating information such as the status of reconstruction on the Internet.

In Tokyo, all planned public viewings have already been canceled, and related events are being canceled one after another nationwide.
