Argentine soccer legend Diego Maradona left the hospital in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, yesterday evening, a week after undergoing brain surgery, to continue the recovery process at his home.

And reports by TV stations in Argentina showed Maradona leaving the Olivos Hospital in an ambulance, and his private doctor, Leopoldo Luque, said in press statements that Maradona was allowed to leave the hospital after his health stabilized.

Maradona's lawyer, Matthias Morla, said that his 60-year-old client will continue treatment to quit alcohol and is expected to stay at home with his eldest daughter.

Maradona underwent surgery due to a brain hemorrhage early this month, and according to Loki, Maradona was suffering from a blood pool between the brain and the membrane and was transferred to a hospital in Olivos in northern Buenos Aires for surgery.

Maradona, the 1986 World Cup winner, was transferred to the Ibenza Hospital in La Plata, three days after he celebrated his 60th birthday.
