The match was evenly matched even though it was the home team that led the game for most of the time.

In the first half, the team each had huge chances to score. Varberg's Alexander Johansson missed an open position in the opening and Örebro's Robin Book was closest to Örebro.

In the second half, Örebro had a firmer grip on the game and after 61 minutes there was fruit when Johan Mårtensson pulled a cross from the right wing, where Agon Mehmeti bounced off the post.

"I was just thinking about getting a clean hit," Mehmeti told Dplay. It's nice to be able to score goals at home.

A period after the goal, ÖSK continued to press, but Varberg came back and the team changed chances. VArberg's Robin Tranberg was very close to acknowledging where he was just outside.

Örebro managed to keep away so the first home goal also meant the first home victory. Varberg had chances enough to get a draw but the finish was too small.
