Sudanese people are returning to their homes in the city of Omdurman after the army regained control of large parts of the city. Video clips have spread showing the devastation and destruction that befell public property and homes after Rapid Support Forces were expelled.

Bloggers pointed out that thousands of families who return will find their homes uninhabitable, and their homes may collapse due to being bombed. Activists said that Sudan needs infrastructure reconstruction for more than 11 months of war that has been going on in Sudan.
